Alex Augier

Since he was very young, he learned to play piano and drums on his own and dedicated himself to composition and computer music. Since he was very young, he learned to play piano and drums on his own and dedicated himself to composition and computer music. From initial scientific background (Paris VI, FR), he attended the « Computer Music Designer » Master 2 in 2013 in order to deepen his own work (University Jean Monnet, Saint-Etienne, FR). He is a computer music designer at the Théâtre de la Renaissance (Oullins - Grand Lyon, FR) and at IRCAM (Paris, FR), where he increases his expertise in the fields of synthesis, control and spatial audio. He work with the Akousthea Company on interactive sound installations. He is a member of the electro-rock band Backbone Party (Electro part, drums, composition and arrangement) since 2009. Within the framework of the InVivo Electro Live workshop, directed by Robert Henke (Manifeste festival 2014), he created N[order]ISE, multichannel audiovisual performance (10.4) site-specific (Nef Curial of the 104, Paris). The audiovisual performance oqpo_oooo has been created during the opening night of the Scopitone festival 2014 and shared the stage with Superposition of Ryoji Ikeda. His personal works think about new digital transversal aesthetic form and take the form of performance and installations. He defends an overview of the creative process where design, programming and technology are an integral part of the artistic project.
