[Text available only in English] Antonio Del Sordo was born in 1971 and graduated in Percussion Instruments from the “Umberto Giordano” Conservatory in Foggia in 1996, under the guidance of Maestro Antonio Santangelo. During his studies, he achieved numerous satisfactions in the musical field, participating in competitions, advanced training courses, and performing in concerts with symphonic and chamber orchestras, collaborating with nationally and internationally renowned ensembles, ranging from jazz to contemporary music. He has performed with various musicians and internationally acclaimed conductors.
He collaborates with several jazz artists, including Fabrizio Bosso, Vincenzo Di Modugno, Marco Carrabba, and Tiziano Ciavarella.
His broad and multifaceted approach to the role of percussionist has always led him to explore a wide range of musical territories—often distant in time and style. This very quality makes each of his performances unique and original. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Italian National Jazz Team, a nonprofit organization through which he performs both on the field and on stage for charitable causes.
