[Texte disponible uniquement en anglais] Technology is moving forward rapidly, so consumer computers are already have the strength to comfortably work with large datasets. So 3D pointclouds are becoming more and more popular as more people can experiment with hundreds of thousands or millions of points - even in real-time. Everything the human eyes see can be represented in virtual 3D space like enter the Matrix, and apart from classical 3D modelling, different 3D scanning methods are help solving problems in computer graphics (and other) industries - and they also can be used for pure artistic purposes.

During the workshop, we open our knowledge about the topic and share the basics of the workflow of our project called Cloudhitects. We will 3D scan objects and turning them into real-time pointclouds to move them through time and (virtual)space.

DAY: 1. Site visiting, photos making, 3D scanning,

DAY: 2. Mesh building - 3D modelling, converting to pointclouds. Building a basic GLSL particle system in Touch Designer

DAY 3. Content creation, animation recording, making audio reactive system ( touch designer )

DAY 4. Project Showcase - vjing the ready works visual gig at the and of the day.

( Computer requirement: Mac or PC with min 4GB dedicated Video ram, we prefer to bring pc for the workshop)
