Aneurysm
[Texte disponible uniquement en anglais] "Cerebral aneurysm is an abnormal dilation of an artery in the brain. When it ruptures it gives rise to a very dangerous hemorrhage that often leads to the subject's immediate death amid excruciating pain."

Aneurysm is the new audiovisual work resulting from a collaboration between visual designer Kanaka (Andrea Maioli) and double bassist Caterina Palazzi.

The performance is conceived as a surreal journey of blood in the conduits of the brain, alternating between moments of regular flow and moments of abnormal and violent pulsations, eventually resulting in the rupture of a vessel and the flooding of the skull.

The music and images, though not strictly related to the medical theme, transport the viewer into an emotional blood flow of acceleration and braking, smooth and irregular rhythms, gentleness and violence, stillness and storm, life and death.
