Autapse
[Texte disponible uniquement en anglais] autapse(2022 live-version)

Multi-channel interactive procedural projection mapping which is scalable in any size and form.

This artwork has got its inspiration from Sir Henry Hallet Dale and Otto Loewi´s Nobel discovery of chemical transmission of nerve impulses in human brains. They won the Nobel prize in 1936.
The structure of the code behind the artwork follows a similar structure that is used in deep learning and neural networks.

Original artwork is made by using several procedural generative videolayers, which are generating and creating different variations all the time. Videos run through multiple layers of video filters which are interacting to expectators location, activity and hand gestures in the site.

Autapse can create over 100 000 000 000 different variations by itself and with interactivity included, it can produce endless amounts of variations.

Live Performers Meeting 2022 version of Autapse combines fragments from different generative material and pre-recorded video segments to make artwork more suitable and to get more storyline for the live performance. Interaction has simplified a bit and it’s entirely controlled by the artist. It also has pre-composed sound design included
