[Text available only in English] The Roman collective Touchy Toy proposes a work that harnesses video processing, combined with hologram technology, to give a new high-tech twist to some of the most important sculptures of the classical era. The work aims to merge different techniques of the visual arts, such as sculpture and video.
In a utopian vision, the collective imagines a different enjoyment of art, where the artwork is replaced by a three-dimensional projected representation. In future exhibitions, users will be able to enjoy an immersive experience by interacting with art through the use of technologies such as holograms, VR headsets, and augmented reality works.
Touchy Toy simulates, with current technologies, the landing of art in this cybernetic environment, which the collective defines as CyberClassicismo.
