[Text available only in English] Echoes of the Walls is a site-specific videomapping work developed as the outcome of the Visual Sound artistic residency at Castello Savelli in Palombara Sabina.
The piece explores the architectural surface as a repository of memory, where walls become interfaces capable of transmitting echoes from past and present. Through light, motion, and sound, the structure is reactivated as a narrative device, revealing hidden layers and resonances embedded within the space.
By combining videomapping techniques with original audiovisual content, the participants created a dynamic dialogue between digital imagery and physical architecture. The irregularities of the building are not limitations but active elements in the composition, shaping distortions, rhythms, and visual flows.
Rather than a static projection, Echoes of the Walls unfolds as an immersive and time-based experience, where fragments of light and sound interact with the materiality of the castle, generating a continuously shifting perception of space.
The work reflects the collective process of the residency, bringing together experimentation, technical exploration, and artistic research into a shared performative outcome that bridges heritage and contemporary audiovisual language.
