[Texte disponible uniquement en anglais] The project is to create an exhibition space within a museum context, which is able to convey the idea of indifference linked to the Mafia.
What characterizes the work has the opportunity to interact with the viewer, its structure makes it possible, thanks to Computer Vision, to be able to know if there is in front of them or not, one or more viewers who observe and consequently change depending on the conditions present.
When no viewer is in front of the work, it is projected on the screen of the TV white noise, characteristic of analog TV, associated with its classic sound.
If at least one viewer is facing the screen, you see a face of a girl, which transmits, with an eye toward the viewer, fear and indifference. At the same time you hear, slow and steady, the beat of a heart relaxed as if to say "unmoved rest."
As soon as the viewer turns to leave the room, you hear a gunshot, the pulse stops and the screen goes black and then leave the TV white noise space.
The steps that led to the creation of this work are essentially three:
The composition of the project idea, the realization of the processed video and programming in Java for the Computer Vision.
The choice fell on the subject of the Mafia, entitled "Indifference is Mafia" because I believe that sensitize the masses, talking casually linked to the Mafia, it has not done enough.
Today through technological art we have the ability to arouse in the viewer a feeling of surprise thanks to the interactivity of the work and at the same time we can make to reflect on some delicate issues such as the one in question.
The look is one of the main emotions projectors, not coincidentally is cornerstone of this work, in fact it is the work itself to interact with the viewer through his eyes, because he perceives the viewer located in front and at the same time, communicates with the gaze of the subject depicted in the video screened.

Ce qui est necessaire
For installation of the work I need a projector (preferably with HDMI cable) and audio speakers to enjoy better listening the all the sounds of the installation present in the work.
