Shiro Schwarz
[Texte disponible uniquement en anglais] Shiro Schwarz is a funk and disco audiovisual project created by Pammela Rojas & Rafael Marfil.

The music fuses together the aesthetics of the 70s and 80s with house structures and elements. The compositions of Shiro Schwarz are greatly influenced by transcendental musicians like Giorgio Moroder, Herbie Hancock, O'Bryan, Stevie Wonder and Miles Davis. Another element of contrast in their music is the mixture of organic and synthetic sounds.

For the visual part, three-dimensional characters go through a journey in a setting of psychedelia, high contrast and optical illusions.

Shiro Schwarz performs by creating loops in realtime, combining and arranging them into an audiovisual piece.

The name of the project is a mixture of the japanese word "shiro", which means white, and the german word for black: "Schwarz". Pammela is "Shiro" and Rafael is "Schwarz".
