[Text available only in English] Video Synthesizer is a software developed by Guy Fleisher which explores producing audio-visual compositions, created in real-time, using visual materials translated into sound. By using abstract color compositions, created by Natalie Feldesman, they are developing an audio-visual instrument for live performances.
Our proposal is an immersive audio-visual live performance (30 - 60 minutes) at the opening of the event. This performance will be recorded, and later, projected in a space for the duration of the event, thus creating a unique site-specific installation.
For the performance, we would like to create an immersive room, with mattresses where the viewers can lay down, giving them an opportunity to dive into this meditative audio-visual experience.
Through this digital alchemy, videos become spaces we enter, discovering a deeper materiality between the pixels, the sound, and their symbiosis. Each audio-visual composition is unique, created simultaneously, in real-time, and cannot repeat itself. The video synth reverses the traditional roles between sound and image; changes to the visual material generate the music and sounds, creating new audio-visual connections in the synchronicity, as well as the synchresis of the resulting image and sound.
